Solapave
Solapave is an integrated solar tiling system that overlays the existing road infrastructure, allowing every square metre of the built environment to work seamlessly towards supplying local electricity needs with minimum disruption and maximum impact.
Developed in the UK over the last nine years it produces, per metre squared, 200w per hour in diffused sunlight and an average 1kw per day, meaning we can dynamically change the face of our infrastructure through modular builds.
Our integrated storage capacity can be fitted up to 1.5kwh per square metre, allowing for energy usage as needed and grid balancing.
Besides being weight-bearing, durable and efficient vs traditional solar, some other features we have integrated include induction charging of EV’s, a top-surface that provides more grip than a traditional road surface, an LED interface for traffic management, a sensor suite for traffic analytics, a thermal management system to keep the surface ice and snow-free, and the manufacturing process involves majority recycled materials resulting in a carbon-negative product with a 95% recyclable end of life utility.
